16. TRY-IN
Vertical

Just as you did with the occlusion rims, have the patient speak to see if there is a speaking space. You are checking the vertical. If the teeth hit when speaking you have to reduce the vertical. When the patient closes on the rims the face should look relaxed. (Didn't I say that before?)

Do you remember what happens when the patient makes the "f" sound? Sounds are a minor reference for denture construction. They are included because I find them interesting.
