COMPLETE DENTURES

16. TRY-IN
Impress the Patient

This is your last chance to evaluate the denture with regard to esthetics, midline, occlusion (vertical and centric). This is also the first time the patient has to approve the denture. Make your wax-up look presentable. Don't have wax on the face of the teeth. Do some artistic carving. Make the wax smooth and shiny. You're going to have to do it before you process the denture. Be sure to add enough wax to the teeth so they won't fall out the first time the patient occludes.

Don't leave the patient while they are wearing both dentures.  They may bite down too hard and move the teeth.
