COMPLETE DENTURES

20. CORRECTING THE OCCLUSION
Flat Plane

With a flat plane occlusion, making corrections is simple. Once the dentures are correctly mounted, logic will tell where to grind. If the articulating paper marks only on one side then grind that side until the other side is hitting.

If only the molars are occluding then grind them until the bicuspids touch. When you do grind, maintain the normal shape of the tooth.

If the mandibular occlusion is flat and the plane is correct I only grind the maxillary teeth.
